From The President
The board would like to thank all those members who came to the annual meeting this year. I think the meeting was well received, and the food wasn’t bad either. For those of you who attended, we do apologize for the late presentation of our financials. Jim Cagney, our treasurer, is in the process of helping the accountants make corrections to our financial statement. As soon as it is, our annual balance sheet will be published in the next available Sportscaster. Myself, along with our returning board, as well as new board members, look forward to another good year at TSC!
Now that the new year has started, we can get back down to business. We have lots of things to look forward to this year, and at the top of our list is the updating of our outdoor ranges. This past winter, TSC entered into a contract with a company called EMR to recover the lead from all our outdoor ranges as well as our indoor pistol range. From the anticipated proceeds of that money, we intend on paying down our debt significantly. While all the heavy equipment is on site, it also becomes the perfect opportunity to restructure and repair both our outdoor pistol range and rifle range. At our January board meeting we formed a committee who will be both developing this plan and overseeing as much as we can afford to do this year. As details become available, we will be sure and pass them along. Contact Jim Schioavoni, the range renovation committee chair, for more information.
Between now and summer, TSC has most of its fundraisers and shooting events. Its safe to say that between now and summer, we make our year. We are going to take a little extra effort this year to make sure fellow members are reminded of these dates since every nickel earned now is crucial. Please keep an eye on the Sportscaster, check your Eblasts, and do everything you can to support your club.
One last thing.. as you read on in the Sportscaster, you will find a list of these upcoming events at TSC. Unfortunately, these events don’t run themselves. WE need help on all of them. Contact names are listed below each one. Please reach out and volunteer to help. NO experience required!
Thank You, Shawn Schott
